Epson Research & Development, Inc. has its corporate headquarters in San Jose, California. We are an ambitious organization with a mission to develop superlative products and technologies for Epson, across a rich and diverse gamut of areas such as graphics controller chips, color copiers, Internet imaging applications, semiconductor design. We have three main divisions:

• Vancouver Design Center (VDC). Located in beautiful British Columbia, VDC is a world leader in the field of energy-saving graphics controller chips for embedded systems and handheld devices.
• Epson Research & Development ASD Group (ASD). The focus of ASD, a Silicon Valley establishment with a tremendous reputation, is on cutting-edge work in digital imaging technologies for cameras, copiers, printers, scanners, projectors and the Internet.

The corporate headquarters also house a very strong Intellectual Property Department.
