Our Mission and Road Map

The primary focus of the Algorithms Team is in developing innovative imaging algorithms specifically targeted to software and/or hardware implementations that are needed in Seiko-Epson's current and future digital imaging products. The algorithms work spans a wide range of topics within the digital imaging field including such areas as Color Science, Color Management, Image Processing, Image Compression, Encryption/Security, Image Databases, Image Communication, Neural Networks, Image Recognition, Multidimensional signal processing, Digital Video and 3D imaging.

• The group has 8 researchers with extensive background in digital imaging and video.
• Since 1997, members in the group have received over 58 patents.
• Since 1997, the group has over 68 conference/journal papers (one IEEE best paper award).
